Picture this: Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disney World

Yesterday I traveled to the planet Batuu at the edge of the Galaxy.
Luckily it just happens to be pretty close to my house!

It was a lovely rainy day there, and not too crowded.
It was a cast and guest preview event, and I was very thankful to get to see it before it gets obliterated and swarmed by tourists.

I could not believe how big it was, and how much work and thought went into every inch.
Everything was meticulously thought out, crafted, and painted.
Me, an art nerd, kept wondering how much potassium permanganate they went through to age all the props and scenes.
If I ever run into an imagineer I'll have to ask.
My favorite part was definitely the Black Spire marketplace,
and the very muppet-esque creature shop.
It was fun to watch others reactions to seeing and trying things for the first time.
Phones, dslrs, video cameras out.
I spotted tons of blue milk and ship selfies.
Gotta get that content for the 'gram!

I got a tasty (but hideous) sausage burrito and witnessed a girl attempting to get the right shot of one.  I amusedly watched while eating and she was still at it when I finished!

I know every inch of anything Disney has been covered and captured to smithereens but maybe I am able to see and show it in a different way.

While holding an umbrella with one hand and my trusty old phone in the other, I excitedly documented the journey...
